Since this blog has just reached 100,000 visitors, I thought it may be nice to celebrate this by initiating a little game. CR. Blogul a ajuns la 100,000 de vizualizări contorizate şi m-am gândit să sărbătoresc faptul acesta propunându-vă un mic joc. Aştept să îmi trimiteţi un lucru care v-a impresionat şi care exprimă, înseamnă, egal frumuseţe. Ar putea fi un gând , o vorbă de duh, un desen, un sunet, o idee, un gest, un poem, o carte, o fotografie, o poveste. Poate fi ceva descoperit în trecut, recent sau creat de voi. International Photography Workshop Suprasl 2011
The warm-hearted team who founded OrthPhoto.net – a panorthodox webpage promoting the beauty of orthodoxy through photographs, open to both amateurs and professionals-, together with Suprasl Academy, are generously proposing an International Photography Workshop at Suprasl Academy for 10 days during the month of august. In the preliminary programme, there are included workshops organised together with Nikon Academy, discussion groups, attendanceat liturgical services, trips to orthodox parishes and monasteries nearby and a pilgrimage to the Holy Mount of Grabarka (“the hill of crosses”), the biggest Orthodox sanctuary in Poland for the feast of Transfiguration. Supraśl Orthodox Monastery was founded in the 16th century and it is known for the miraculous icon of Our Lady of Supraśl, for Codex Suprasliensis-the oldest Slavic literary work in Poland (11th century), included in UNESCO Memory of the World list – and for an interesting icon museum.
Grabarka is close to Bialowieza National Park ( Europes last fragment of lowland primeval forests).
The best photos will be shown in an exhibition.
The cost for the workshop is low -250 Euro- and covers:
• Accomodation at the Suprasl Academy • Full board • travelling by coach • tickets for extra activities.
Orthphoto Projects are open to Christians from all countries (have to register to the site– no registration fee).

Schimburi de carte ortodoxă 8-9 iulie
Pornind de la o idee bookblog.ro , din 2009 s-au iniţiat, prin asociaţia tinerilor ortodocşi Orthograffiti, şi întâlniri să zicem restrânse la sfera ortodoxiei în care se discută tot despre cărţi, fapte şi lucruri care ne-au impresionat, prilej de a exprima prea-plinul sufletesc, dar şi de a afla, a dezbate, a lega prietenii. Râmnicul nu este până acum pe harta niciuneia dintre acţiuni, însă vreau să anunţ programul pentru oraşele active zilele acestea, adică Târgu-Jiu, Constanţa, Bucureşti şi Baia-Mare. La ultimele pusesem şi eu la cale să fiu prezentă oarecum şi măcar prin corespondenţă de data aceasta, dar pare-se că serviciul de curierat nu a fost în favoarea mea. Spectacular view of Mont St.Michel (Tour de France stage 6)
Couldn’t leave today the computer without adding this spectacular bird’s eye view of Mont St.Michel, as seen on Tour de France .
Subsequently, I have to add I was as well amazed by the diapos brought by my mother from there, in my first year of life, seen on a stereoscope dated back in 1974. So, for the technique of the ’70s (not less than about 40 years ago!), the 3D images are somehow better than images of present time (there is not the case with the above shooting…).
